The Duchesne County Attorney’s Office has amended charges against the five defendants originally charged with Attempted Murder after an April 6th assault. According to an update issued on Thursday, the charges against 35-year-old Thomas Neil Tuinman, 33-year-old Stephanie Tuinman, 30-year-old Michael Wallace Tuinman, 30-year-old Samantha Tuinman, and 29-year-old Byron Rashad Thompson were amended from Attempted Aggravated Murder to Aggravated Murder on Monday, April 23rd.

Ashley National Forest east zone fire program reports that so far they are having a successful spring burning season. According to Tuesday’s report, the program has been able to apply prescribed fire to approximately 1,000 acres around the Pines and Acres area of the Flaming Gorge-Vernal Ranger District.
While accounts of what lead to the death of a Uintah County man on April 13th are circulating, the Uintah County Sheriff’s Office has made it clear that the investigation is ongoing and the cause of death is still undetermined.
