Roosevelt Police Again Urge Parents to Talk to Youth About Cell Phone Use

by | Apr 30, 2018 | News | 0 comments

The Roosevelt Police Department has once again encouraged parents to talk to youth about appropriate cell phone use and the negative, sometimes long term consequences of misuse. The American Academy of Pediatrics explains that “while today’s tweens and teens may be more digitally savvy than their parents, their lack of maturity and life experience can quickly get them into trouble with these new social venues. For this reason, it is imperative that parents talk with their children of all ages about social media and monitor their online social media use to help them navigate this new online social world.” For guidelines and suggestions, visit
