Cub Scout Pack 261 got to work last week on a conservation project aimed at remembering Earth Day and serving the community. On April 18th, the boys and their leaders showed up to the Naples City Offices ready to plant trees and bushes around the building with smiles on every face. The boys planted 4 trees and 3 shrubs that were donated by Lowes. Two of the trees are planted by the main doors and the others are between the City Office building and the fire station. “These boys did a great job digging the holes, cleaning them out, and doing the planting themselves,” shares Naples City Mayor Dean Baker. “Their service and effort is very appreciated! This pack did a good job being responsible and providing an example of taking care of the earth we live on.” Cub Scout Pack 261 were thanked on Thursday night during the Naples City Council meeting for a job well done.
