The Uintah School District announced this week their upcoming budget adoption scheduled for June. The district’s budget adoption was a topic of increased interest last summer when community members attended the August school board meeting. The Uintah School Board had already made their final 2017/2018 budget adoption during their June 20th business meeting in advance of the fiscal year on July 1st. No patron input had been received during the June meeting. During the August meeting, the school board explained that the adoption had already taken place but the feedback would be noted and utilized next year during budget meetings. The proposed budget for the 2018-2019 school year and the final amended budget for the 2017-2018 school year will be considered with potential action to adopt on June 19th at 6:00pm at the Vernal Middle School Auditorium.
