Number of Wild Horses From Gathered Herd Die From Illness
The famous Sand Wash Basin herd of wild horses in Moffat County was gathered last fall with more than 2,500 wild horses taken to the Bureau of Land Management’s holding facility in Cañon City.

USDA Announces Over $28 Million Dollars To Duchesne Watershed Infrastructure
The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced Wednesday that they have awarded $420 million dollars in infrastructure projects around the country, one of which is here in the Uintah Basin. The Duchesne Watershed Infrastructure project will support construction efforts to address agricultural water management concerns.

Man Wanted In Fatal Shooting Now In Police Custody
The suspect in a fatal shooting over the weekend in Colorado’s Garfield County is in police custody. According to the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office, the victim and suspect were attending a Quinceanera on Saturday when the shooting occurred outside of Rifle just after midnight on Sunday.
