The Uintah Basin is not short on talented students! The most recent example comes from the Uintah High DECA students competing at nationals in Georgia. Uintah DECA has three finalists (Kelsey Alexander, Gabe Elison, and Marcy Reynolds) at the national DECA International Career Development Conference for their Sales Project. “They are in the Top 20 of all students internationally,” shared Uintah High DECA advisor Kami Elison. “That’s with over 17,000 students attending ICDC and over 500 competitors in their section from the best of the best all over the world.” Mrs. Elison also reported that all the Uintah DECA members who competed at nationals in Atlanta performed well. “It has been a pleasure and privilege being out here with them,” she said. “They are respectful and responsible.”
