The suspect in a fatal shooting over the weekend in Colorado’s Garfield County is in police custody. According to the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office, the victim and suspect were attending a Quinceanera on Saturday when the shooting occurred outside of Rifle just after midnight on Sunday. “When Sheriff Deputies arrived, the victim was still alive,” shares the Sheriff’s Office. “He was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction via ambulance where he was treated and later pronounced dead.” A warrant was issued for ‘Dante’ Lazaro Dominguez-Lopez from Rifle who was considered armed and dangerous. Thankfully, the Sheriff’s Office has announced that Dominguez-Lopez was arrested and brought into custody on Monday.
