The Uintah County Commission is supporting efforts to make improvements for visitors to Moonshine Arch. The Commission approved the purchase of two acres of land by the existing parking lot at the Moonshine Arch Trailhead during their Commission meeting last week. The agreed upon purchase price was $6,000 dollars per acre and the sale is expected to be complete by the end of May. Commissioner Bill Stringer explained that there has been a need for additional parking and that it is likely that property costs will just continue to increase. Commissioner Brad Horrocks shared that the project has been a combined effort with the state as there are additional plans aimed at making the Moonshine Arch experience one that is safe for visitors.
