Vernal City is not banning fireworks and City administration took time on Tuesday to clarify the topic. “Vernal City has received several questions regarding whether or not Vernal City is allowing individual fireworks this year,” shared Vernal City.

DWR: Last Chance Approaching for Deer and Elk Permits

The Division of Wildlife Resources is getting the word out. If you didn't draw a buck deer or bull elk permit during the hunt drawing earlier this year — and you're still interested in hunting deer or elk this fall — your chance to obtain a permit begins next week but make note: the sales dates for the permits have changed from past years.

Unemployment Report for Uintah Basin

The Department of Workforce Services has provided an update on unemployment in the state of Utah and the data shows a small shift down in the Uintah Basin. Daggett County stayed the same at 3.5 percent unemployment.
