Northern Utah Advisory Committee Accepting Proposals for Forest Projects

by | Jun 29, 2021 | News | 0 comments

For those that enjoy the local forest and have ideas to help improve them the Northern Utah Resource Advisory Committee (RAC) would like to hear from you.  It does not matter if it is an individual, a non-profit organization, local governments, or anyone else, if you have concerns or ideas regarding the Ashley or Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forests please share the project ideas. Proposed projects need not be implemented on Forest Service lands but must be adjacent to and benefit National Forest resources. Project funding is made available under the reauthorized Secure Rural Schools and Community Self-Determination Act. Title II projects fund work such as restoring watersheds, removing invasive weeds, enhancing recreation sites, maintaining roads and trails, or otherwise improving the condition of the Forests. Information regarding the program and application forms are available on the Ashley National Forest website, or by calling 435-781-5119. Please submit your applications by August 9th, 2021.
