Rifle Police Department is asking the public for information that could help them in a homicide investigation. Rifle PD shared this week that on Saturday, May 22nd at about 11:00 pm, Rifle police officers responded to the area of East Avenue and East 1st Street for a reported assault. Officers arrived and located Mr. Bobby Honeycutt with injuries that appeared to be consistent with an assault. Mr. Honeycutt was transported to Grand River Hospital by Colorado River Fire Rescue and was subsequently taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction. Our agency began an assault investigation,” shares Rifle Police Department. On June 25th, 2021, Mr. Honeycutt died. The Rifle Police Department is requesting information that may assist with the investigation. We are offering up to $1000 dollars for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspect(s).
