Accident in Roosevelt Investigated As DUI

An accident that occured in Roosevelt last week is being investigated for DUI. According to Roosevelt City Police Chief Rick Harrison, a 2008 Jeep Commander traveling east and driven by 28-year-old Chapeete Serawop failed to stop for a red light at 200 North State Street in Roosevelt at about 5:00pm on December 27th.

Basin Graduation Rates Above State Average

The Utah State Board of Education released new data in December concerning Utah schools. The state graduation rate for 2017 was 86 percent with 40,100 students receiving their diploma. The rate increased over the last 5 years from 81 percent to 86 percent.
