Permit Acquired for Community Ponds in Dry Fork Area
The local Division of Wildlife Resources is up to something fishy, in a good way! Plans announced early in 2016 for urban fishing ponds at the mouth of Dry Fork continue to progress. According to Natalie Boren with the Division of Wildlife Resources, the permitting process with the Army Corps of Engineers took longer than expected but plans are moving forward now

Con Amore Fishing Day a Success
Kids at a Myton school have won the hearts of folks throughout the Basin through a unique annual event. The Annual Con Amore Fishing Day pairs up special needs children from Con Amore School with volunteer teens and adults to act as buddies during a day of fishing fun. Over 100 children participate in this great event.

Weather a Factor in Plane Crash that Killed Family of Four Near Rifle
New information has been released on a plane crash that killed a family of four 9 miles north of Rifle earlier this month. The Makepeace family was traveling in a private plane on September 15th from their hometown of Fort Collins, Colorado, to Moab when the accident occurred.
Construction Progressing on Roosevelt State Street Project
The Roosevelt City State Street construction project is moving quickly along. Crews began flushing streets that have been chipped throughout the city on Wednesday. Chipping will continue around the city throughout this week and all vehicles or other items need to be removed off the streets
