State Board of Education Releases School Grades

School grades are in from the Utah State Board of Education and Basin schools sit around the average for the state. 44 percent of Utah elementary schools received Bs while 33 percent received Cs. 29 percent of Utah high schools received Bs, and 36 percent received Cs. Uintah School District elementary schools had 4 Bs (Ashley and Maeser Elementary, and Uintah and Vernal Middle School), and 5 Cs (Davis, Discovery, Eagle View, Lapoint, and Naples Elementary). Uintah High School received a C. Duchesne County School District elementary schools had 2 Ds(East and Myton Elementary), 1 C(Roosevelt Jr. High), 5 Bs (Altamont, Centennial, Duchesne, Kings Peak, and Neola Elementary), and 1 A (Tabiona Elementary, up from a C in 2016). Duchesne County School District high schools received two Bs (Altamont and Duchesne High School) and two Cs (Tabiona and Union High School). In Daggett County, Manila Elementary received a B and Manila High School received a B.
