Uintah Theatre’s Hunchback and Music Man Receive State Nominations

The Utah High School Musical Theatre Awards has dished out multiple nominations for Uintah High Theatre’s production of The Hunchback of Notre Dame and The Music Man. Hunchback was nominated as a finalist in the following categories: Best Musical, Best Director, Best Choreography, Best Set Design, Best Costume Design, Best Lighting Design, Best Technical Crew, and Connor Talbot as Best Actor, Caleb Hunt as Best Supporting Actor, and Devin Reynolds as Best Cameo.

Jill Goodman Passing McDonald’s Baton After 35 Years

Neola Fire Spreads to Tribal Land

A Neola fire on Monday is another example of how quickly yard and agricultural burning can get out of control, according to a report from the BIA Forestry & Wildlife Fire – Uintah & Ouray Agency. Neola Fire Department was called out just before 3:00pm on April 9th to a field fire north of Neola on a private farm near 11000 North 3400 West.

An attack on a Duchesne County couple at their home on Friday nightresulted in five people being charged with Attempted Aggravated Murder.35-year-old Thomas Neil Tuinman, 33-year-old Stephanie Tuinman, 30-year-oldMichael Wallace Tuinman, 30-year-old Samantha Tuinman, and 29-year-oldByron Rashad Thompson were charged with 1st Degree Attempted AggravatedMurder on Monday as well as 1st degree felony Aggravated Assault andAggravated Burglary.
