KNEU 1250The Utah Department of Workforce Services has provided its latest report and local data shows a decrease in unemployment rates. For April 2021, Daggett County reports 2.8 percent unemployment, down from 3.3 percent the month before and 8.6 percent a year ago.
The United States Department of Agriculture Forest Service has ordered temporary trail closures in the High Uintas Wilderness Area of Ashley National Forest. “Several trails accessing the High Uintas Wilderness Area are closed due to safety hazards from snags and deadfall as a result of the East Fork Fire,” shares Ashley National Forest.

TriCounty Health Department reports 146 active COVID-19 cases, 3,989 recovered with 36 total COVID-19 deaths to date.
