Memorial Day is observed each year on the last Monday of May as a day to honor the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. Memorial Day 2021 will be observed Monday, May 31st. The Duchesne County American Legion Memorial Day cemetery ceremonies will be held in Lapoint at 8:30am, Tridell at 9:00am, Hayden at 9:30am, Neola at 10:00am, Cedarview at 10:30am, and Roosevelt at noon. All are invited. The Uintah County American Legion Memorial Day Salute is generally held each year on Monday at noon at the Uintah County War Memorial, 149 East Main Street.
