Roosevelt State Street Closed at 800 South

Construction continues on the Roosevelt City State Street and maintenance project. The intersection of State Street and 800 South is closed through Saturday afternoon. Traffic will need to use alternate routes to access homes during this time. Last week, crews were flushing streets that have been chipped throughout the city.

Mountain Lion Crossing Flaming Gorge Gets Attention on You Tube

A group of fisherman had what they considered a strange encounter on Flaming Gorge and their video posted on You Tube is catching some attention. On August 7th, Michael Pearson posted a video to his You Tube channel of a mountain lion swimming across the reservoir while Pearson and his party filmed from nearby fishing boats.

In its fourth year, Utah’s Waterfowl Slam program is bigger and better than ever. Utah is offering nine waterfowl slams, or challenges, and each time one is completed, the hunter receives a colorful leg band that can be placed on a call lanyard as a collectable.

Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office Welcomes New K-9

Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office has welcomed a new K-9 to their force. The agency suffered a loss over the summer after K-9 “Q” was diagnosed with terminal cancer that quickly progressed and took her life. The loss was especially hard on Cpl. Morant Harrison, Q’s handler who had been partnered with her for about a year, and Cpl. Harrison’s family.
