The driver of the semi involved in a crash that killed a Duchesne County man and paralyzed a Salt Lake County woman last spring is now facing a charge of automobile homicide. On December 1st, 37-year-old Nathaniel Bone was charged with 2nd degree felony Automobile Homicide, Negligence Use of a Handheld Wireless Device and Misdemeanor Use of a Handheld Device While Driving.

Semi Fire on Highway 40 in Fort Duchesne

Flames engulfed a semi on Wednesday afternoonon Highway 40 in the Fort Duchesne area. According to Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Brett Gehring, a double tanker semi was traveling eastbound at Mile Marker 121 near the light at Fort Duchesne a little after 3:30pm when an axle came off and the back trailer overturned on the highway.

Equipment Operator Sustains Serious Injury at Craig Station

An equipment operator remains hospitalized after sustaining a serious injury while working at the Craig Station last Thursday. According to a statement from Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, the accident took place in the early afternoon when a heavy equipment operator’s leg was injured while working around a train.
