Obviously, unemployment statistics are much higher than they were a year ago but the latest report shows that it is at least heading in the right direction, even in northeastern Utah. A year ago, unemployment in Daggett County was 3.8 percent. Upon latest report, it is now at 4.3 percent, which is down 3/10th of a percent from the month before.

New Roosevelt Library Design To Be Presented at Public Hearing

Grow Boxes Provided for Vernal Food Pantry Thanks to Rotary Clubs

One Man Dead, Another in Custody Following Traffic Accident Friday
A 37-year-old man is dead and one man is in custody after a traffic accident on Friday that took place south of Fort Duchesne. “At approximately 4:30 p.m. on Friday, deputies and BIA officers were dispatched to an accident at 7500 East 5700 South where a truck was stuck on the side of the road,” shares the Uintah County Sheriff’s Office.
