Unemployment Update for Northeastern Utah Counties

Obviously, unemployment statistics are much higher than they were a year ago but the latest report shows that it is at least heading in the right direction, even in northeastern Utah. A year ago, unemployment in Daggett County was 3.8 percent. Upon latest report, it is now at 4.3 percent, which is down 3/10th of a percent from the month before. Duchesne County was at 3.8 percent unemployment one year ago. The latest report is that Duchesne County is at 7.6 percent, also down 3/10th of a percent from the month before. Uintah County was at 4 percent unemployment one year ago but is now at 8.5 percent, again 3/10th of a percent from the month before. National unemployment is at 8.4 percent and the state of Utah is at 4.1 percent.
