The Sub For Seniors program has a record number of local senior citizens in need this year that they hope to spread Christmas cheer to but they need the community’s help. The Sub For Seniors program in Uintah County started in 2015 and delivered Christmas gift bags to 92 local seniors.
The public comment period for the Draft Environmental Impact Study or EIS for the proposed Uinta Basin Railway is in its final few weeks and the final three public meetings are being held virtually this week. TriCounty Health Department provided an update on Tuesday concerning the steady increase of local cases of COVID-19. Sadly, there has been one new death in Duchesne County, for a total of five COVID-19 related deaths in the tri-county area.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife is seeking information about seven elk that were recently shot and left about 20 miles north of Craig. According to a press release, a concerned citizen contacted wildlife officers on November 22nd and it was believed the incident occurred on November 20th.
