Enchanted Forest A Heartwarming Success

This year’s Enchanted Forest may have had a few changes to accommodate social distancing requirements but the wonderful feeling of kicking off the Christmas season was the same. Duchesne County Commissioner Irene Hansen says the entire event was just awesome. “We had over 100 items for the silent auction,” shares Hansen. “We were able to cover the expenses and raise money for 6 charities. We had over 500 people who attended over 5 days at the open house.” Hansen says it was easy to maintain social distancing and special recognition goes to Kathy Hadlock and all the Duchesne County and chamber staff for their extraordinary effort to hold a safe event. The charities and other groups that benefited include the Duchesne Business Alliance, Roosevelt Business Alliance,  Roosevelt Rotary Club, Northeastern Counseling, Thompson House of Hope, Family Support Center, UBTech Scholarship Foundation,  Uinta Basin Youth Wrestling, and Furever Buddies Dog Rescue.
