Uintah County Sheriff’s Office reports that as the search for Max Stubbs continues, multiple aircraft from the Utah and Colorado wings of the Civil Air Patrol and a Classic Air Medical helicopter have joined law enforcement and search and rescue in looking for the missing Uintah County teen.

COVID-19 Transmission Index (5/27 – 6/2)
TriCounty Health Department reports 146 active COVID-19 cases, 3,989 recovered with 36 total COVID-19 deaths to date. The Transmission Index report shows locally only one new hospitalization in the past seven days with no new COVID-19 deaths. Uintah and Duchense County are at the Moderate COVID-19 Transmission Index level while Daggett County remains at the Low level.
Duchesne Roosevelt Ranger District Campground Status
The Duchesne Roosevelt Ranger District provided a campground status update in time for holiday weekend planning: All campgrounds in the Duchesne/Roosevelt Ranger District are open now except Avintaquin and Pole Creek that usually opens around mid-June. Moon Lake and Moon Lake group gates will be open at 8 am Friday morning.
