Memorial Weekend is traditionally the launch of the most popular season for camping in the great outdoors and while most campers know there are occupancy rules, many don’t pay much attention to them. Authorities Ask For Help in Locating Missing Uintah County Man
The Uintah County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 19-year-old Uintah County man. The Sheriff’s Office shared that Max Stubbs has been missing since May 21st.

The filing period is approaching for several Vernal City positions to be voted on during the November 2nd, 2021 general election. Duchesne County Road Department Gives Update on Bridge in Lower Red Creek
The Duchesne County Road Department Director Ben Henderson provided an update during a Duchesne County Commission meeting this month on existing projects and upcoming work. According to the meeting minutes, crews have installed the new bridge in the Lower Red Creek area, Camelot, and are now working on the blind corner located in the same area.

Waterbodies in Northeastern Utah to Visit on Free Fishing Day
If you’d like to catch a fish in Utah’s beautiful outdoors but you don’t have a fishing license, Free Fishing Day is the perfect opportunity to give it a try. The DWR has announced that Free Fishing Day will be held on Saturday, June 12th, and northeastern Utah has amazing spots to try.
Ashley National Forest: Update from the Flaming Gorge Ranger District
As of last report from the Ashley National Forest Flaming Gorge Ranger District: Forest Road 221 as it enters the Northwest end of the district (through the Birch Creek drainage) is washed out and difficult to pass. Sheep Creek Lake is accessible with a 2wd vehicle.
School Districts Thank Those Retiring For Years of Service
Before the school years come to a close local school districts are sharing their thanks for the employees that have announced their retirement. In Uintah School District, there are 12 employees retiring after 30 or more years of employment, 8 employees retiring with between 20 and 30 years of employment, and 4 employees with less than 20 years of employment.
