As of last report from the Ashley National Forest Flaming Gorge Ranger District: Forest Road 221 as it enters the Northwest end of the district (through the Birch Creek drainage) is washed out and difficult to pass. Sheep Creek Lake is accessible with a 2wd vehicle. Expect deep ruts, high clearance may be required. Long Park Reservoir is also accessible with a 2wd vehicle. Similarly, expect ruts in the road. Spirit Lake has snow about three miles up the road to it, and is still impassable. Brownie Lake is accessible with wet and muddy road conditions. Forest Road 221 is rutted traveling west from the junction to Brownie Lake.
