Thanks to the creativity and hard work of local leaders, Vernal Holly Days was a major success! In order to follow COVID-19 guidelines, the Holly Days celebration turned into home focused activities with only a few of the big events where social distancing was possible.

Uintah High Adjusts Attendance Options In Hopes of Reducing COVID-19 Cases

With cases still rising in the TriCounty Health District all are asked to be diligent in efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Uintah School District has asked the community to please help keep schools open for in-person attendance. If your student feels sick, is waiting for the results of a COVID-19 test or has been told to quarantine due to exposure to a positive case, please have your student stay home.

Public Meetings This Week for Uinta Basin Railway; Draft EIS Comments Open

The public comment period for the Draft Environmental Impact Study or EIS for the proposed Uinta Basin Railway is in its final few weeks and the final three public meetings are being held virtually this week. Comments have been welcomed and encouraged as the information provided will be considered and reviewed by the Surface Transportation Board as they analyze the project and whether or not the railway will have a future.

Tradition must go on! Union High Drama Department will be presenting ‘Fiddler on the Roof’, after having to delay the production due to COVID-19 restrictions. This musical is a classic having won nine Tony Awards. It tells the story of a small, tradition-steeped town in Russia, where Jews and Russians live in delicate balance.
