Uintah County Offices Conducting Business By Appointment Only
Starting today at noon, Uintah County Offices will be conducting business by appointment only. According to Monday’s press release, the Uintah County Commission signed the order closing all buildings that are owned or managed by the county to public access until further notice.
Locals Awarded by Rural Water Association

DWR Implements Occupancy Limit at Old Fort Ponds
The Division of Wildlife Resources has implemented occupancy limits at Old Fort Ponds in Uintah County. DWR Conservation Outreach Manager Tonya Kieffer-Selby explains that there have been recent days with up to 50 people at the ponds but the pond occupancy is now a maximum of 25 people, while keeping distances between individuals to a minimum of 6 feet.

An Adult Male in Uintah County has been confirmed to have COVID-19. TriCounty Health released the following announcement on Friday morning: ‘TriCounty Health Department believes this case is a result of community-acquired transmission with recent travel to the Wasatch Front.
Work-Share Program to Help Uintah County Residents Out of Work
Local agencies are working together to help workers affected by layoffs due to the COVID-19 pandemic. According to a press release from Uintah County, the Work-Share Program is set up to help Uintah County residents who have been furloughed or laid off from businesses throughout the county due to the public health order that has affected businesses like restaurants, hotels, bars, and theaters.
Daggett County Offices Now Conducting Business by Appointment Only
In an effort to be proactive for the employees and citizens of Daggett County, the county offices will change their procedure to conduct business by appointment only. Confirmed cases of coronavirus are throughout Utah, Colorado and now in the neighboring Sweetwater County, Wyoming.
Uintah Theatre Receives State Nominations for ‘Shrek the Musical’
The run of Uintah Theatre’s ‘Shrek the Musical’ provided an exciting night out for locals in just the nick of time ahead of the state recommendation for social distancing to battle the spread of COVID-19. Thankfully, judges with the Utah High School Musical Theatre Association were able to watch a digital version of the show despite being kept from attending the show live and as a result five cast members have made the list of nominations for this year’s state awards.
