The run of Uintah Theatre’s ‘Shrek the Musical’ provided an exciting night out for locals in just the nick of time ahead of the state recommendation for social distancing to battle the spread of COVID-19. Thankfully, judges with the Utah High School Musical Theatre Association were able to watch a digital version of the show despite being kept from attending the show live and as a result five cast members have made the list of nominations for this year’s state awards. Kenadi Colton has been nominated for Best Actress. Gus Scott has been nominated for Best Actor. Sydnie Hanberg has been nominated for Best Supporting Actress. Devin Reynolds has been nominated for Best Supporting Actor and Nicole Bustos has been nominated for Best Cameo. High schools across the state are still waiting to hear the state nominations for more categories such as Best Musical, Best Choreography, and Best Costumes. Congratulations to the five actors and the entire cast and crew on their spectacular show and the nominations so far!
