Jones Hole Creek in Monument Reopened for Recreational Access
Jones Hole Creek has reopened to recreational access within Dinosaur National Monument. According to Monument Chief of Visitor Services Dan Johnson, no noticeable contamination of the stream inside the monument has taken place as a result of the septic line break at the Jones Hole Fish Hatchery which is managed by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.
Burglary Suspects Identified; Third Suspect Remains At Large
The suspects in a Vernal burglary that took place on August 21st have been identified. 28-year-old Ebony Nicole Salcido and 26-year-old Sean Ryan Garcia are currently in custody in Colorado after a high speed chase that ended in their car crashing and both being arrested

Two Charged in Transient Death in Sweetwater County
Two people have been charged in the death of a transient on August 18th in Sweetwater County. According to Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office, the body of a 26-year-old man was found by Union Pacific railroad personnel at 2:30am on Saturday, August 19th, and it was determined the man, identified as Eric Barrett of Arkansas, had suffered fatal trauma as a result of a fall off of a train.
FBI Investigating Homicide Near Whiterocks; Arrest Made
The FBI is investigating the death of a woman in the Whiterocks area as a homicide. According to FBI Public Affairs Specialist Sandra Yi Barker, the body of a female was discovered on a road northwest of Whiterocks on Wednesday, August 23rd.
