Water Shut Off Planned For Myton City Water Valve Project

The Myton City water valve project is ongoing and an update to the city wide water outage schedule has been made. Originally, it was announced that water would be shut off today and Friday but the plan has changed to tomorrow, September 30th, and Friday.  Myton City gave an update a week ago, sharing that the project is scheduled to be done by the end of October. The good news is, “as the isolation valves are placed, less and less of the city lines will need to be turned off to add more of the valves. So it all depends on where you live.”  The announcement also emphasized that once the project is complete, if the city experiences a line break, the water to the whole town will not have to be turned off while repairs are being made, just the section that needs fixing. The city wide water outages scheduled this week for Wednesday and Friday will each run from 8am to 6pm. Questions or concerns can be directed to 435-823-2796.
