Vernal City Once Again Named ‘Healthy Utah Community’

Vernal City Once Again Named ‘Healthy Utah Community’

Vernal City has once again been named a ‘Healthy Utah Community’ by Get Healthy Utah in partnership with the Utah League of Cities and Towns. Vernal was one of the first communities to receive this designation back in 2020. “Since then, Vernal has continued working to create a healthier, more connected community,” shares the Vernal City announcement. “From improvements to our walking and biking trails and expanded recreational opportunities to community programs that encourage families to get outside and stay active, these efforts are helping make Vernal a wonderful place to live, work, and play. The Healthy Utah Community designation focuses on three important areas: active living, access to healthy food, and mental well-being. Earning redesignation means demonstrating continued progress and a commitment to building on those efforts for the future.” Learn more about the Healthy Utah Community program at gethealthyutah.org.
