The board for the Uintah Transportation Special Service District met on Thursday evening taking on a new year of business. Seated at the table with the board was Executive Director Adam Massey who has returned to work since the board lifted his suspension during a December board meeting. The meeting opened with discussion between the board and board attorney Gayle McKeachnie focused on forming an MOU with Uintah County and addressing administrative code items that the state audit suggested need refining. The board moved on to discuss the process of hiring a board secretary. The position has already been advertised, applications have been accepted, and the application period has closed. The meeting also included reports on the Vernal Regional Airport, Uintah County Trails Master Plan, and consideration of working with local cities and the county on a joint CIB application for street improvements.
