The Utah Department of Workforce Services shares that February’s employment report shows Utah’s economy on solid footing and reporting some of the lowest recorded unemployment. The new data on unemployment by county shows that Daggett County actually ticked up from 3.4 to 3.6 percent, Duchesne County went down from 3.6 to 3.5 percent, and Uintah County also decreased from 4.2 to 4 percent. The state’s unemployment rate is estimated at 2.1 percent, with approximately 35,300 Utahns unemployed. The national unemployment rate dropped to 3.8 percent.
