The Northeast Region Sterling Scholar Awards were announced Monday evening. Several Uintah High Sterling Scholars were awarded during the online awards ceremony. Scotlyn Williams was announced as the Northeast Region Agricultural Science Sterling Scholar and Randon Davis was announced as the Northeast Region Mathematics Sterling Scholar. Laura Anderson was selected as a runner-up for the Northeast Region Instrumental Music Sterling Scholar. All 13 of the Uintah Sterling Scholars were honored earlier this month during a special awards night. Each received a $4,000 scholarship from Utah State University Uintah Basin and a Presidential Scholarship from UBTECH covering the full cost of tuition for any of the technical college’s certificate programs. They traveled to Wasatch High School last week for the Northeast Region competition. Congratulations to the winners and all the Sterling Scholars!
