Uintah School District: Fighting Social Media’s Influence on Teen Mental Health

by | Aug 28, 2019 | News | 0 comments

It’s hard if not impossible to know all the long term effects that social media is having on lives, especially on young lives that equate what they see on screens as reality. Recognizing the need, the Uintah School District is doing their part to fight social media’s influence on teen mental health by hosting a free informational night for parents at the Vernal Middle School Auditorium on September 10th at 6pm. The informational meeting will feature speaker Collin Kartchner, the founder of the nationwide #SaveTheKids movement. Kartchner is crusading “to help people both young and old to rise above the negative effects of social media and screen addiction, while showing the world how to use it for doing good.” An assembly will be held the following day for secondary students.
