The Republican Party Organizing Convention was held on Thursday evening to elect new officers and vote on Party Amendments. There were 125 delegates in attendance, the largest Organizing Convention attendance in recent history. The following were elected: Kason Goodrich as Chairman, Matt Wilber as Vice Chair, Emma Taylor as Secretary, Dana Haslem as Treasurer, and Committee members Jimi Story, Matt Corbin, Les Farnsworth and Tamara Crimando. Clay Sheffer was elected as the State Central Committee Member. This is the second term that Kason Goodrich will serve as Chairman. “I am excited to continue serving the great people of Uintah County,” shares Goodrich. “We want to continue our efforts to involve our youth and engage voters. We have a big election year coming up next year with multiple offices up for election. I believe that healthy respectful debate is good and love to see multiple people run for office so there is a reason for candidates to engage with voters.” The Committee will meet monthly and the public is always welcome to attend. Meeting announcements will be posted on the website and social media platforms.
