Projects, planning, and looking to the future are always ongoing in our local governments and Uintah County is no exception. Uintah County Economic Development Director Travis Campbell visited the Evans Family Media studios this week to discuss the county’s current and upcoming projects, including general infrastructure, road upgrades, water resources, cemeteries, and more. When asked about the hot topic of water, Campbell said water is a topic being worked on in the general plan to ensure there will be water available into the future and that the county is working with the 7 County Infrastructure Coalition on a potential pump project. Another project Campbell mentioned is the construction of a large building for storing the large equipment and machinery needed for the cemeteries. Funding from the Community Impact Board will cover the majority of that project and will join with other available funding. Campbell had more to say about ongoing and upcoming projects.
