Uintah County Remains in High Transmission Index Level (6/24 – 6/30)

The TriCounty area COVID-19 Transmission Index levels have remained the same this week with Uintah County at the High Transmission level, Duchesne County at Moderate level and Daggett County at Low level. According to Thursday’s press release, Uintah County’s 7-day average percent positivity was 18 percent and there were 126 cases in the past 14 days, Duchesne County was 6 percent and there were 37 cases, and Daggett County was 0 percent and there were 3 cases. Statewide total ICU utilization was 76 percent and the 7-day COVID-19 utilization was 13 percent. The report shows locally 5 new COVID-19 related hospitalizations in the past seven days and 0 new COVID-19 deaths. Uintah County is one of two counties in the state that is in the High COVID-19 Transmission level.
