During the regular Commission Meeting held on April 8th, the Uintah County Commission approved the dates for the annual Free Dump Week. This year’s event will be held April 26th through May 3rd, providing an opportunity for residents to dispose of unwanted items at both Uintah County Landfill locations at no cost. “During Free Dump Week, residents can bring in a wide range of household items, including old furniture, yard waste, and other non-hazardous materials,” shares the announcement. “This initiative is part of the County’s ongoing commitment to serving the residents of Uintah County and improving cleanliness and quality of our community.” Accepted Materials include non-hazardous household waste, yard waste, and brush. Hazardous waste like chemicals and paint will not be accepted. Neither will tires nor lithium batteries.

All loads must be securely covered from the point of origin until deposited at the landfill. For more information on Free Dump Week, including a complete list of accepted items, please contact the Uintah County Landfill at 435-789-6018 or visit Uintah.gov.
