The Uintah Boys Wrestling team continues to dominate having secured the 4A Division A title at the 4A Division A Tournament in St. George this week. The team finished with 21 state qualifiers and three alternates! The team scored 543 points, with 24 wrestlers contributing to the total. Joshua Garcia, Maddax Hacking, Ethan Sharp, Michael Alexander, Rykan Hacking, Brody Rhoades, and Caden Young each won their respective classifications. Caden Young was named the tournament’s Outstanding Wrestling for the Upper Weights and Michael Alexander set a new record for the Uintah High School Boys Wrestling career pins with his 119th pin in his finals match. Alexander surpassed Brady Merkley’s 118 career pins for the new record.
