Local business owners and community members really opened their hearts and pocketbooks for the 2021 Trees For Charity event and the latest report is that the grand total has jumped. Trees For Charity Chairman Brandon Parker reported to the Vernal Chamber of Commerce that the record total comes to $408,985 dollars. The auction night alone was a record breaking $310,300 dollars. With the tree toppers, raffle items, and silent auction items added on they ended up nearly $124,000 dollars over the previous record set in 2019 of $285,000 dollars. There were 40 trees auctioned total and then a special rifle was auctioned as well as silent auction items. 23 individuals and 22 organizations benefited from the 2021 event. All involved are just amazed and grateful for this amazing community for stepping up to help those in need.
