Traffic Stop Leads To Arrest For DUI With Methamphetamine And Fentanyl

A traffic stop on April 15th in Uintah County ended in arrest and removed a bag of fentanyl from the streets. According to the Probable Cause Statement, 62-year-old Wanda Faye Warden was traveling 60 mph in a 35 zone when the officer initiated the traffic stop. Warden stated that she did not have insurance and that she had an outstanding warrant. The officers noted what appeared to be uncontrollable body movements and Warden shared that she had used methamphetamine that morning and fentanyl within the hour. She provided several items of drug paraphernalia before revealing 3 plastic baggies. Two contained suspected methamphetamine and one contained 48 fentanyl pills which Warden stated that she sells for $15 a pill. Warden was arrested and is charged with 2nd Degree Felony Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance, 3rd Degree Felony Driving Under The Influence, among other charges.
