Mark September 19th on the calendar as a day to support the Tabiona Veterans Memorial as the effort to raise funds continues. “For such a small community, we have an incredible military history, with nearly 400 local veterans we hope to recognize through this memorial,” shares Halee Ficklin. “As part of that effort, we are holding a community fundraiser featuring a car show, amateur pickleball tournament, vendors, food, and other activities. Breakfast burritos will also be available for $5, with every dollar from those sales going directly toward the memorial. More than anything, we want people to know that this project is about preserving the names and stories of the people from our little community who stepped forward to serve. We want to create something permanent where their families, our students, and future generations can see just how many people from this valley have sacrificed and served.” All makes and models are welcome at the car show which will be held on the rodeo grounds starting at 9am. The pickleball tournament will be held at Tabiona High School starting at 10am. For more information, reach out to 385-329-4193.
