Every year, the best in the world bring the art of storytelling to the Vernal Stage. The 13th Annual Storytelling Festival will be held March 9th and 10th at the Vernal Middle School with two evening performances. “The Storytelling Festival reminds me every year why I loved a good story as a child,” shares Uintah High School teacher and event coordinator Aaryn Birchell. “I love the connection it brings to my fellow human beings and I love how the memories of my childhood come bubbling from my lost memories. I like to describe it to others who may have not been before that it is like stand up comedy that warms the heart and makes you glad to be alive.” This year’s storytellers, Tim Lowry and Sam Payne, are well known in the storytelling world.
