8th Annual Waxy Crude Workshop Coming Up

The countdown has begun for the 8th Annual Waxy Crude Workshop. The event is a joint effort of local agencies, the Governor’s Office of Energy Development, U-STAR, the Division of Oil, Gas and Mining and the Rural Planning Group. The topic of waxy crude in the Basin and the challenges surrounding it is an important focus, shares Duchesne County Economic Development Director Irene Hansen. The conference explores the scientific and technology side of the issues surrounding waxy crude and its transportation. “We are always seeking solutions and thankfully there are big advances in technology,” shares Hansen. “The conference is exciting because the latest information will be presented, offering deployable remedies…Local industry isn’t backing down and never give up on looking for solutions.” Anyone with an interest in the oil and gas industry are invited to attend. This year’s conference is scheduled for April 18th at the Duchesne County Centennial Events Center.
