Applications are now being accepted for The Vernal Rotary Club’s Santa’s Community Effort.  Santa’s Community Effort is a supplemental toy program for the needy children, 0 to 16 years of age, of Uintah County. “Helping needy kids has always been an emphasis of what Rotary is all about,” shares Rotary member Brian Gorum. “This program is definitely needed in these trying times. This is an opportunity to help a less fortunate member of our community experience the joys of Christmas. Please take this opportunity to teach the values of giving to our own children and enjoy the gift of giving.” Applications are now available at the service desk at the Vernal Davis Food & Drug. The deadline is November 17th. While you cannot apply for someone, you may let that family know about the application and program. Look for Angel Trees at Trees for Charity, Davis Food & Drug and Walmart.  Families are asked to take a tag and buy a gift requested by the child.  If you have any questions, please call 435-828-1557.
