Repeat DUI Offender Facing New Charge

An Alpine man has been charged following an alleged DUI earlier this month in Uintah County. According to the Probable Cause Statement, on September 15, 2026, in Uintah County, a driver operated a white SUV at 79 miles per hour in a posted 65 mile-per-hour zone. Christopher Geddes was identified as the driver. A records check reflected a warrant for Geddes’s arrest for driving under the influence, second offense in 10 years. A probable-cause search of the vehicle located two opened and emptied cans of an alcoholic beverage behind the driver’s seat, one opened and emptied can behind the passenger’s seat, and a box of emptied alcohol cans in the trunk. THC was found in the vehicle, and the Defendant had a valid medical marijuana card. Two THC wax scrapers were found in the center console. 38-year-old Christopher James Geddes is charged with 3rd Degree Felony DUI, Driving on a Suspended License, Interlock Restricted Driver Operating without Interlock System, Alcohol Restricted Driver, Open Container, Speeding, and Cannabis Cardholder Violation. Court records show prior DUI arrests in Utah and Colorado in 2025 and 2022.
