Traffic Stop Reveals Stolen Jeep; Driver Charged

A Vernal man has been charged in a case of a stolen vehicle. According to the Probable Cause Statement, on September 23rd in Uintah County, 18-year-old Alexander Antillon was driving a black Jeep with no license plate. A traffic stop was conducted in the Vernal area and a records check of the vehicle's VIN number showed the vehicle was reported stolen out of the Wasatch Front. During a search of the vehicle, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were located. Antillon is charged with 2nd Degree Felony Theft of an Operable Motor Vehicle, Driver License Violation having never obtained a license, and misdemeanor drug charges.
