KNEU 1250Duchesne County School District is making it easy to benefit from their annual Community Matters Conference taking place tomorrow at the Union High Auditorium. Those that would like to attend in person can request tickets while those who cannot or would prefer not to attend in person can attend virtually.
Today is a very special day in the world of literacy and local libraries and schools are making it a week-long celebration. March 2nd is the birthday of Theodor Geisel, best remembered as the beloved Dr. Seuss. Because of this, March 2nd is utilized as a day to celebrate the importance of reading endorsed by the National Education Association and local libraries are all in on the celebration.
Last week, Uintah High School students competed in the Utah State DECA Competition. Uintah School District shares that there were 33 students that competed this year in role play, individual projects, group projects and chapter projects!
Wild swans are currently winging their way through Utah, and the Division of Wildlife Services wants the public to know that March is one of the best times of the year to see them. "Swans are graceful, beautiful birds," said Mark Hadley, regional outreach manager for the Utah DWR.

The COVID-19 Transmission Index Levels maintained from last week. After months of being listed at the High Transmission Level, both Uintah County and Duchesne County have stayed at the Moderate Level and Daggett County remains at the Low Transmission Level.
